IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION: All the many rumors regarding "LA traffic" is not an understatment! We travel here according to minutes not miles. So while something may look close on a map, it may take hours to travel to in traffic. So please be mindful of this when you plan your accommodations and adventures during your time here in Southern California. When in doubt please do not hesitate to reach out to Anthony or Leena to plan your trips!

Chez Bacchus

743 E 4th St, Long Beach, CA 90802, USA
(562) 336-1440

Chez Bacchus is easily our favorite upscale restaurant in Long Beach, offering not only the most amazing food but also a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit special. Chef Danny has a remarkable talent for elevating simple dishes into luxurious creations, using flavor combinations that are truly unmatched by other local restaurants.

Sip on a delicious cocktail, or let their sommelier pair a stunning wine to complement your meal perfectly. Every experience at Chez Bacchus has been unforgettable — it’s a place that never disappoints!

Also, we highly recommend their afternoon tea service! We had such a great time with a group of our friends! The teas were great, the bites were heavenly and presentation for everything was a perfect! You can buy alcoholic drinks to spice up the afternoon also! 11/10 recommend.

Favorite LBC Spots

You can't go wrong on the Promenade/Pine Street. You'll find an array of restaurants, bars, quick bites!

* The Ordinaire- this simple menu should not be underestimated. Easily one of favorite places to grab a great bar bite and drinks! We recommend the pork and beans or the spicy chicken sandwich! Does not disappoint. https://www.theordinarie.com/

*The Stave- for our fellow Whiskey lovers- they have 75 whiskeys and plenty of wine and beer options! Enjoy a dim lit bar area or sit outside next to the fire!

*The Exhibition Room- SPEAKEASY ALERT! - this is a prohibition style cocktail lounge hidden in Roxannes-password required, reservations are a must and they adhere to a strict dress code https://www.theexhibitionroom.com/

*House of Hayden- our local Dive bar! Enjoy this cash only bar where you can get a reasonably priced drink and play some pool with some local LBC people.

*Long Beach Creamery- one the best local ice cream spots! I wouldn't add it if it wasn't that good! Ex. for their key lime pie ice cream they actually add freshly baked whole pies into their incredibly creamy ice cream mix.

*Thai District- while adding a Thai restaurant might seem basic, this place is anything but that! 11/10 recommend the food. People compare this place to the food you would find in Thailand. Incredibly delicious, great prices and a beautiful atmosphere. https://thaidistrictrestaurant.com/menu/

*Halo/Sky Room- ROOFTOP BAR ALERT- Unwind under the stars with 360-degree cityscapes at our vibrant rooftop lounge. Sip handcrafted cocktails while you take in panoramic views, from Downtown LA to the Hollywood Hills and Catalina Island. https://www.fairmont-breakers.com/dine/halo/

*Long Beach Aquarium- a fun spot to take a stroll with the kiddos or for our marine lover friends.

*Shoreline Village- Shoreline Village offers a wide selection of waterfront restaurants to fit your particular mood; ranging from simple snacks to upscale waterfront fine dining. They are simple taco places, yardhouse, tequila jacks etc.

*Belmont Shores- just a quick uber ride from downtown this is one of our favorite areas to hang by the water! There are many many restaurants, bars, shopping places. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING IF TIME PERMITS

- If you plan to get into the water we suggest going to a family friendly area called Horny Corner (yes, that's actually what it's called-google it).

Water Side Chillin

*Ballast Point Brewery- enjoy this local brewery with good food and cocktails also.

*Fuego at Hotel Maya

*Gaucho Beach
